Modern country style house for a pleasant, cosy break
In the midst of forests, lakes and beautiful scenery, the staff of the Halmes bakery enchant the residents of Eastern Belgium with their unique baking creations. Starting with the first bakery in Bütgenbach, the family business has grown over the past few years with 5 branches spread across the Belgian Eifel region. The core of the successful bakery chain, the bakery in Bütgenbach, has now been completely redesigned.
Combination of traditional and modern
In order to do justice to the charm of the bakery and incorporate the classic elements of a brasserie into the modern ambience desired, interior designer Patrick Meyer opted for an elegant interpretation of the country house style. This project produced a number of initially conflicting challenges: the café has to be inviting for the customers, while also being efficient for the staff and sales, as well as providing a perfect setting to present the various bakery and pastry products. The objective was for fresh modern ideas not to outdo the traditional character but, rather, contribute to the harmonious interior design.
Fresh pastel shades and natural colors harmoniously complete the more traditional look desired. In addition to the tasteful decorative strips, playful wallpapers add further charming highlights. The long, straight counter front, floor-to-ceiling display shelving and the unusual pendant lights create a cosy, modern ambience.
Interior design with character
The secret lies in the details: carefully selected mouldings set off the bakery and café perfectly, inviting customers to sit and relax. The moulding strips from the A1 NOMASTYL®, WL1 WALLSTYL® und FD15 WALLSTYL® product ranges were chosen for the interior design details.
